As you know, the Tug of War in aid of Jersey Women's Refuge took place on Saturday and I'm writing on behalf of all the women and children that have ever been helped and supported by the refuge, to say a great big thank you.
 
From the teams that raised money for refuge, to the new recruits at the prison who organised the entire event to the spectators that stood out in the rain. It was amazing to find that people were in such great spirits despite the absolutely awful weather, and heart warming to know it was all being done to support Jersey Women's Refuge.
 
So far, Jersey Women's Refuge has received £1,335 from the event.
 
So once again, whatever you did from; donating food and raffle prizes, to putting in a team, to giving the event media coverage, to helping organise the event or to giving the teams a cheer at the side, a great big thank you goes out to all of you!
