TOOLKIT FOR SCHOOLS
The Outreach Service provided optional training for local school teachers in 2009. Using the 'Women’s Aid Expect Respect Tool kit’, the majority of local primary and secondary schools took part in the training day.
The toolkit can just as easily be used by a range of other professionals working with children and young people in a variety of settings such as youth clubs or play schemes.
The provision of this local training was organised and backed through the educational welfare team to incorporate the inclusion of teaching students about domestic violence within the PSHE curriculum.
