AWARENESS CAMPAIGN 2008

Jersey Domestic Violence Forum run in conjunction with the States of Jersey Police & Women’s Refuge, this week is all about raising awareness of domestic violence and abuse within the Island and we organise a number of activities and events in order to do so. You will see our ‘call for help’ posters and flyers in the car parks, on buses and out and about generally, as well as hearing our promotional snippets on the radio and in the newspaper.
During the week there will be…

A stand in De Gruchy Department Store every day from 10am until 4pm where you can come and talk to us, pick up a leaflet or business card.

A Drop-in centre at St Thomas’s Church between 12.30 – 2pm on the 25th, 26th and 27th where there will be a representative from the Refuge as well as a member of the Police Domestic Violence Team available to offer support and guidance or answer any questions you may have.

An Art competition is also being run within secondary schools in the build-up to this week and the winner will be announced at the launch with the art work from the competition being displayed in St Thomas’s drop-in centre for the entire week so come along and check it out!
